Curled up under her scratchy wool blanket, Riley's eyes twitched. Her dreams had been non-existent for almost a month but tonight was an exception.
The sword raised and her eyes widened. She knew the pain was coming and her throat clenched. She couldnt scream. She felt the blade graze the top of her skin, on its way to her heart and the pain...
"OOF!" Riley's body hit the boards of the wooden floor. She looked around. Everything was dark. Was it still night or was she still in her dream? "Whats going on? Are you okay?" Lael stood over her, her long blonde hair encompassing her beautiful face. "im fine. just a bad dream." Riley climbed back into her bed. "You're just nervous about tomorrow." Lael said quietly. "You'll do fine." She smiled and walked back to her room.
Riley sighed and let herself drift back to sleep.
::okay so. they're in hobbiton. theres going to be some sort of a party tomorrow afternoon & some of the hobbits are going to perform their talents like singing, dancing, blowing shapes out of smoke... that sort of thing. Lael is Riley's sister and they're both...idk... about 18ish. you dont have to stick to hobbits, anyone can come! ;D ::

:: are they twins? cause i wanted to have my characters be twins, which i dont think would be much of a problem. and are you having the lord of the rings characters in this? like, are frodo and sam gonna be there? :: "Are we lost? I think we're lost." "How can we get lost, Abigail? We can see over the tops of everyone's heads, and their houses." "Well, leave it to you to find the place, and this is what's going to happen." "You're the one with the map, you should be directing me." It was morning, and a pair of tall (in comparison to the inhabitants of Hobbiton, but rather short compared to their own kind) girls were walking down the cobblestone road. The girls were the same height, had the same bright red, messy short hair, and the same light brown freckles dotting their fair faces. One set of dark green eyes, which belonged to the girl named Abigail, scanned their surroundings. The other set of eyes, on the left, stared intently at the dirty piece of parchment in her hands. "Lia, let me see it." said Abigail. Lia, which was short for Amelia, held the paper away from her twin sister and continued to stare at it. "Amelia!" "I'm still looking." "It's my turn, let me see it." "Fine." said Amelia, handing the paper to her sister. "Bee, you can be such a crybaby." "Hush." said Abigail. She scanned the paper and then looked around. She looked back at the paper, then out at the town. When she looked at the paper once more, she said, "Did mother hand us this map?" Lia nodded, saying, "Yea, why?" "Why on earth would she give us a map of Gondor?" "What?" "This is a map of Gondor, not Hobbiton. Not only that, you were looking at it upside down." "A map of--well for goodness sake, why didn't we realize that before?" "Well, it got us here, anyway." said Bee with a smile. "This is obviously Hobbiton. We just now have to find out where that party is." "You don't have the invitation?" asked Lia. Bee looked at her. "I thought--I thought you had it!" "No, I told mother to give it to you." They were about to get angry at each other, but then they realized what was going on at the same time. "Mother." they said together. Abigail and Amelia, or Bee and Lia, were very talented magicians, and were fairly well known for their skills. Their specialty was juggling fire. This was why they had received an invitation to this party. But they had a mother, who loved them dearly, but did not approve of their partaking in useless things like playful magic. She desperately wanted them to go to a large city, like Gondor, and get married. But the girls had no interest in marriage. Their only interest was travel; their skills were just a means of making money. "That woman will be the death of us." said Bee, referring to their mother. "Let's ask some people if they know where this party will be." said Lia. :: does this party have invitations? ::

::No my girls arent twins, Lael is a year or two older than Riley. and i dont care if there is invitations or not :-) whatever you want::
Lael sat outside on the front steps of their family's quaint little house. She stretched her short legs out in front of her and crossed one over the other. The stones were cool thanks to the small breeze that traveled through Hobbiton to the next town.
Even through Lael was older than Riley, and was thought of as the level-headed, beauty of the two, she couldnt help but gather butterflies in the pit of her stomach. Hobbits from all the surrounding towns were invited to the party tomorrow. Whenever there was a festivity of any sort, she couldnt help but hope she might meet the man of her dreams- it was a weekness of hers since childhood. All of the stories her mother told her about "true love" had consumed her thoughts. She doubted whether this was healthy.
She jumped out of her deep thought when she heard voices coming up the path towards her. Two girls?
